Anansi went to talk to Dog. "You and Puss are both my friends," said Anansi. "I need you to be friends. Stop fighting!"
Dog invited Puss to a beach picnic. Dog swam in the ocean. "Come on!" he said. "It's fun!" But Puss wouldn't swim.
"You're just a scaredy-cat!"
Then Puss invited Dog to a forest picnic. She carried their picnic-basket up a tree. Dog could smell the food! "Climb up!" she said. "Unless you're scared to climb a tree."
It's hard for Dog and Puss to be friends.
