Nasruddin saw a man standing in the street, weeping.
"What wrong?" Nasruddin asked.
"I've been robbed," the man said. "The robbers took everything I had: twenty silver coins."
"Don't worry," said Nasruddin, and he led the man into the mosque.
Nasruddin then began to wail loudly. "O God!" he shouted loudly. "O God!" he screamed, even more loudly. "Please restore this man's twenty silver coins."
The other people in the mosque gathered up twenty silver coins to give to the man in order to silence Nasruddin.
Nasruddin smiled. "That is how things work in the house of God," he said.
