The Creation of the Cultures

It was the dawn of creation. There was a big heap of things, and the culture-bearers of each culture came and took what they wanted from the heap.
The Japanese culture-bearer came and took the koans. "The koans will show our subtle way of thinking."
The Hindu culture-bearer came and took the mantras. "These mantras will give us power over ourselves and the world."
Not much was left when the American culture-bearer got to the heap, but he did find a green piece of paper; it was a dollar. "I'll take this; the whole world is going to want this!"
