The Pig Who Counted

Some pigs were crossing a stream; twelve pigs, to be precise.
"Be careful crossing the stream!" said the oldest pig, who was their leader. "I'll count us again on the other side."
The pigs made their crossing, and then the oldest pig counted: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven.
"We have lost one in the stream!" groaned the pig as he began to weep, and the other pigs began to weep too.
A wise hermit had seen the whole thing and laughed. "Do not cry, silly pig," he said. "You just forgot to count yourself!"
