The Curious Girl's Questions

There was a curious little girl who asked questions about everything.
"Oh, sugar-cube, oh," she said to the sugar, "what will you do?"
"Put me in your mouth, and I'll melt away."
"Oh, lump of dirt, oh," she said to the dirt, "what will you do?"
"When the rain comes, I'll turn into mud."
"Oh, tree-leaf, oh," she said to a leaf, "what will you do?"
"When the wind comes, I'll be blown away."
"Oh, donkey, oh," she said to the donkey, "what will you do?"
"Hee-haw hee-haw is what I'll say to you!"
The curious girl's questions never stopped.

Notes: This is a nursery rhyme, but it works like a story too I think!
