"Let's raid Kisander's pudding-tree!" Anansi said to Mouse.
"That cat can see in the dark," said Mouse.
"Don't worry," said Anansi. "I'll knock puddings down; you gather them."
PLOP went the first pudding. Kisander awoke but went back to sleep.
PLOP. PLOP.
Finally Kisander came to investigate.
Mouse dared not use Anansi's name to warn him, so he sang, "Up-on-the-ceiling, up-in-the-tree, the cat I see."
Mouse ran, and Anansi hid.
Kisander saw the puddings. "They must be very ripe!"
She collected the puddings and took them home.
Anansi and Mouse didn't get any of Kisander's puddings, but they escaped alive!
