The Swan and the Owl

An owl flew to the lake and said to the swan, "Let's be friends!" So they became friends, but this would prove to be a fatal friendship.
The owl later invited the swan to visit his forest home. They flew into the forest and enjoyed a long conversation by moonlight. Afterwards, they both went to sleep,
Then, at dawn, a hunter sounded his hunting horn. The owl, who sleeps by day, angrily hooted back, and this ill omen alarmed the hunter. He followed the sound and aimed at the owl, or so he thought, but he killed the swan instead.
