The Lion and the Woodcutter

A woodcutter encountered a lion.
"Prepare to die!" roared the lion.
"Wait!" said the woodcutter. "I'll give you food!"
The lion had never tasted human food. "Delicious!" he said.
He returned every day for more.
Since the lion stopped hunting, the jackal and crow had no more scraps to eat. "We'll eat the woodcutter!" they said.
"No!" said the lion. "He'll feed you too."
But when the woodcutter saw the jackal and crow, he climbed a tree. "I like you, Lion, but I don't like your friends!"
So the lion, jackal, and crow all went away with nothing to eat.
