The Goat and the Raging Lion

There was a nanny-goat who had the bad luck to run into a raging lion. The lion was clearly out of control, rearing up as he roared, baring his sharp teeth and extending his sharp claws.
"Oh, this is bad!" the goat thought to herself. "This is very bad indeed! What a wretched and unhappy situation I've gotten into here, me and all the defenseless creatures like me. Lions are bad enough to begin with, savage and cruel even when they're in their right minds, but this lion is even more dangerous since he's clearly out of his mind."

Inspired byMille Fabulae et Una, a collection of Latin fables that I've edited, free to read online. I am not translating the Latin here; instead, I am just telling a 100-word version of the fable.
Notes: This is fable 3 in the book, which is Perry 341.
