The Ram and the Bull

There was once a ram who intimidated the other rams, driving them away from the field. "I am the greatest ram of all!" he boasted. "Behold my horns! Behold my hooves!"
The ram then noticed a mighty bull in the neighboring field. He rushed at the bull, shouting, "Behold the ram!"
But the bull only snorted, gored the ram, and trampled him underfoot, leaving him for dead.
The ram finally regained consciousness and staggered to his feet. "It's my own fault," thought the ram to himself, ashamed and in pain. "I provoked an enemy that I could never defeat."
