The Crow and the Partridge

The crow admired the partridge's way of walking. "What a marvelous gait! So elegant! So grateful!" thought the crow. "I want to learn to walk just like that partridge."
So the crow began to follow the partridge around, imitating her walk.
"Stop it!" said the partridge. "You just look silly trying to walk like me. You should walk in your own way, not mine."
The crow, however, kept trying to walk like a partridge.
In the end, the crow became confused, not able to walk like a partridge, and not able to walk like a crow either.
