The Fox and Her Cubs

Fox had two cubs whom she left at home when she hunted for food. "Don't unlock the door for anyone else," she said, and when she came home, she sang, "One cub, two cubs, mother makes three; open the door for me."
Hyena overheard, and he came to the door, singing, "One cub, two cubs, three, four... open the door!"
"You're not our mother!" they said.
Hyena listened to Fox some more, paying careful attention, and tried again another day. "One cub, two cubs, mother makes three; open the door for me."
The cubs let Hyena in. He ate them.
