The Two Hunters and the Lion

Two hunters — one brave, one cowardly — found a sleeping lion.
"I'll hold its tail," said the brave man, "while you spear its heart."
But when he grabbed the lion's tail, the coward ran off.
Back in the village, the coward said a lion killed his companion.
When the villagers came to retrieve his remains, they found him still holding the  lion's tail!
They condemned the coward to stand facing the lion. When the brave man let go, the lion tore the coward to pieces and fled into the forest.
Then the man and his fellow villagers returned home.
