Lemur and Cobra were friends.
"Come to my village!" said Cobra. "There you will feast on my own skin."
Lemur went, and Cobra pulled off his skin, cooking it in a soup which Lemur ate.
"Come to my village!" said Lemur. "You likewise will feast on my skin."
They went to Lemur's village, and Lemur gave his children a knife. "Strip off my skin," he told them, explaining what Cobra had done in his village.
Then the oldest child laughed. "Father, you are very foolish!" he said, and then he and all the Lemur's children ran away into the forest.
