When Ntembe Came

Ntembe came.
"A great one has come," said the people.
Ntembe sat on a stone. "Welcome," he said to the people. "I, Ntembe, have come. I have come to teach the mysteries."
He twisted a snake around his head, and when the people passed by, the snake bit them and they died.
"The snake will destroy us all!" the people shouted.
God came. "You have a bad heart," God said. "You're killing my children."
"Then go away, you and the people," said Ntembe. "I, Ntembe, am here."
So God took the people away on high, and Ntembe became a mountain.
