The lion has a talisman that he carries with him in his mouth.
When the lion goes hunting, he digs a hole and hides the talisman. Then, after he is done hunting and has eaten his fill, he returns to that place, digs up the talisman, and puts it back in his mouth.
When the lion knows his death is near, he conceals the talisman.
That is why they are hard to find.
If you find a lion's talisman, it will bring you good luck. When you wear the talisman, no lion can attack you because of the talisman's power.
