The Sufi and the Pot of Buttermilk

A Sufi saw a boy carrying a pot full of buttermilk.
"Throw down that pot!" the Sufi yelled at the boy.
Hearing the holy man's command, the boy threw down the pot. The buttermilk spilled everywhere... along with a venomous snake. The buttermilk was poisoned, and would have killed anyone who drank it!
The boy chased after the Sufi. "Thank you!" he shouted. Then the boy shouted, "Please accept me as your disciple!"
"I am a Muslim," the Sufi replied, "and you are a Hindu."
"And we are both humans," the boy answered.
And so he became the Sufi's disciple.
