Walking the Path of Life

As you walk the path of life, you will find yourself stepping on sharp thorns and rough pebbles. There might even be broken glass, all kinds of objects underfoot that can injure you and cause you pain.
To stay safe, you might look down all the time, bent over and squinting, while failing to notice the world around you.
You might pray to God, hoping he will lay down a soft carpet for your tender feet.
Or you can get yourself a good pair of sturdy shoes.
Sturdy shoes for the soul's journey through life.
The choice is yours.
