Spider and Gout

Spider and Gout were traveling and needed lodgings for the night.
Spider entered a rich man's mansion and started spinning cobwebs, but the maids with their brooms swept the webs away.
Gout entered a poor family's hovel, where there was nothing but stale bread and foul water.
Spider and Gout were both unhappy, so the next night they switched places. Spider was happy in the hovel where there were no maids sweeping, and Gout was happy in the mansion which abounded in all kinds of wine and food.
So, that is where Spider and Gout dwell till to this day.
