The Owl and the Morning Sun

There was an owl who was distressed by the brightness of the morning sun. "All this light! All this heat!" he squawked. "I don't like it one bit."
Then he shouted out at the Sun itself. "What do you mean sitting there and staring right into my eyes with those beams of light?" he asked.
The Sun was indignant. "The problem is not with my beams but with your eyes. The world depends upon my heat and light; I am not here to suit a fool such as yourself but rather to bestow my blessings upon the whole world."
