Hunter, Fox, and Leopard

A hunter wanted to trap a fox, so he dug a pit, covered it with straw, and put meat there to tempt the fox.
The fox saw the meat, but he saw the straw too. "Best not," he thought and ran off.
A leopard then came by, saw the meat, and leaped, falling down into the pit.
The hunter then heard the noise and, thinking it was the fox, jumped into the pit. "I've got you!" he shouted.
But it was instead the leopard who got the hunter, killing him just as the hunter had planned to kill the fox.
